AAA Colorado Member Meet-Up in Glenwood Springs Travel Agent FAQ

What is the AAA Colorado Member Meet-Up?
The AAA Colorado Member Meet-Up is a Discount-based weekend for AAA members to visit the town of Glenwood Springs. AAA has negotiated special discounted rates with a hotel and many area restaurants and attractions to provide members the chance to explore a history Colorado mountain town at a reduced rate.

How does it work?
This weekend is not a “travel package” and thus will not be booked by AAA Colorado travel agents. It is a come-as-you-please weekend with a recommended schedule of activities, but every event and dining option is completely optional. We hope you join us at many of these activities, but you are not required to attend any of them. We encourage members to join us for the activities that they are interested in, and skip out on the ones that don’t sound fun to them.

When is this weekend?
Friday, September 23 – Sunday, September 25, 2016

Is there an itinerary that I can see?
There is no itinerary, just a variety of discounted activities and restaurants we hope you visit to take advantage of the benefits of AAA membership. The only scheduled group event, is a Welcome Breakfast at the Hotel Colorado that is included with reservations. We hope to see you there.

How do I book this trip?
Since this is a AAA Discounts and Rewards based weekend, we are not booking this weekend through our in-house travel agents. The only thing you need to do in advance is book your room with Hotel Colorado at the discounted rate of $119/night. This includes a group breakfast on Saturday morning.

You can book your room by calling 970-945-6511 and mentioning you want the AAA Member Meet-Up Weekend special rate for September 23 – 25, 2016.

We would, however, recommend that you make reservations for a few other activities such as the Canyon Bikes rental and seating at the Glenwood Vaudeville Revue. This will help ensure that you get a rental/seat at your discounted rate before they sell out. Alternatively, if you would like us to book every activity for them, the marketing team can take their info and process all booking for the guests at no additional charge.

What if there is an activity that I don’t want to do?
We have set up this weekend so everything is completely optional and you only pay for things that you want to do. If you are not interested in renting a bicycle, that’s no problem. You’re more than welcome to skip it and do whatever you want. If you only want to take advantage of the excellent hotel discount and don’t want to join us for any activities, that’s fine. We hope you enjoy that benefit of being a AAA member, but we still hope you say hi at the included breakfast.

How do I get to Glenwood Springs?
As this weekend is a relaxed, come-as-you-please weekend, transportation will be the responsibility of each individual attendee so they may arrive and depart when most convenient for their schedule.
